A tiny little hole in the wall, really. And almost impossible to get into, because the bar has limited seating. So, you have to make an appointment. And they won’t let any Jack, Fred or Harry just walk in. After a knock on the door and with the proper password, you get shushed in by a waitress donning furtive sideways glances. Once inside the bar, you realize you’re in the wrong bar, Bourbon and Branch, and are quickly escorted down a hall to another locked door. With a quick and loud knock by our escort, the door opens, another password and you find yourself in a tiny hole in the wall, Wilson and Wilson, Private Detective Agency. As the story goes, they found a purse belonging to Lorraine Adeline Wilson in a wall and the mystery of her death and the contents of her purse weave a tale of intrigue. Oh and the booze is good too. The menu reads like a crime report with appetizers, main meals and desserts- only there’s no food, just booze. The old timey cocktails on the menu are of the period. And be warned. You will not get to order something that’s not on the menu. You ain’t getting a cosmo there, only real drinks.
